Sophie, I hope you LOVE this. Cashew nut milk will work perfectly. It is a great way to get your raw greens without an overpowering bitterness. If you want more sweetness, you can always add some raw honey. Enjoy!

I just had a very similar smoothie yesterday: fresh pineapple, kale, Meyer lemon (hybrid of lemon and tangerine), slice of ginger, Japanese pear for added sweetness. Delicious~~! I'm an overnight office cleaner. I cut my smoothies in half with filtered water, then bring to bottles to work with me; I'm an overnight office cleaner, and I need all the energy I can get!

Amy, I just came across your blog while searching for some good recipes using Kale. I am very much into healthy eating, exercising etc etc. I am planning to go for yoga lessons. I am trying to convince my husband to go with me too :-) There are so many DVDs, books instructing yoga. But I feel more comfortable to learn from a teacher personally. The only one I am comfortable doing is Surya Namaskar which I learnt when I was in teens. I am now over 40. Other exercises I do are running 5k and 3k alternately and doing stretches, crunches to strengthen my core. I also do some exercises for the legs to keep it strong so I don't feel too sore after the running. I will try it definitely this week and give you feed back. I like your blog. Thanks for sharing. I love meeting & interacting with people who like to eat healthy and exercise and lead a balanced life physically, mentally and spiritually. That helps me too...Warm Regards...

Julie, I would just use water as a substitution. In fact, when I don't have any fresh-made nut milk in the fridge, I use water. I've also been adding cilantro to mine recently...great addition! Hope this helps.

We use greek yogurt, strawberries, mango peach protein drink and fresh kale....but fresh pineapple sounds marvelous!!
